Monochrome Games is the company which owns and manages the Zombie Panic! series. Founded in 2009 by Zombie Panic! and Zombie Panic! Source developer Tatsur0, Monochrome has also developed Contagion, a spiritual successor to Zombie Panic: Source, as well as Contagion VR: Outbreak and HeadCount. As of 2022, the Zombie Panic! Team actively develops and maintains Zombie Panic: Source under the guidance and approval of Monochrome Games.
